3 Fuel Saving Tips & Tools

If gas was a dollar cheaper across town, wouldn't you go get your gas there? It always feels good to get gas at a low price. But what about when you are driving? There are things that you could do to maximize each mile per gallon between fill ups. We have three simple and easy tips to help you boost your fuel economy no matter what kind of car, truck or SUV you drive.

  • 1. Use cruise control. When you maintain a consistent speed over long distances you will conserve fuel and extend driving range.
  • 2. Make sure your tires are properly inflated. When your tires don’t have enough air, they will create more drag on the road and will require your car's engine to work harder. Which means using more fuel.
  • 3. Regular oil changes. When everything under the hood runs smoothly and efficiently your engine can relax. Not having to work harder your engine won't require as much fuel as it does when engine components are dirty.
