This summer is definitely going to be a memorable one for Toyota, especially now that it has experienced impressive quarterly profit gains. Thanks to such a great selection of new Toyota models offered in the Missoula, MT area and beyond, the automaker has recorded quite the sales numbers.
The Toyota Motor Company posted a 94 percent year-over-year increase from April through the end of June. This amounts to a total profit of $5.5 billion worldwide and an even larger global revenue of $63 billion. Looking more specifically at North American sales so far in 2013, when compared to last year they are up by 7.5 percent.
What is causing this boost in sales? The popularity of models like the Prius and Corolla are definitely influencing profit gains. With the popularity fuel efficient models, the Toyota lineup delivers plenty of these options for customers to choose from. As a result, Toyota reported North American profits have already risen by $79 million.
Because of these increases, Toyota is now restructuring its annual profit forecast for the year. It gave it an eight percent boost to reach $14.8 billion, which would be the highest annual profit gain the automaker has experienced in six years. It also increased its annual sales to 10.12 million up from its original forecast of 9.94 million vehicles.
