It seems that lately, there certainly isn't a shortage of material to draw from. The most recent recognition comes from Edmunds.com which released its annual list of Best Used Cars. We were thrilled to learn that among those chosen was the Toyota Avalon sedan.
How exactly are the models selected for the list? For starters, editors from Edmunds.com zero in on models from 2006-2011, making them 2-7 years old. At this point used cars still have low enough mileage where they can retain more of their value. Next they evaluated each model based on how available they were as a used car, their dependability and safety features.
Edmunds.com described why the Avalon stood out within the large sedan segment, explaining, "With its roomy cabin and upscale ambience, the Toyota Avalon is almost a bargain-priced large Lexus sedan. Other Avalon virtues include a smooth and very quiet ride, a powerful yet fuel-efficient V6, a massive backseat and top-notch build quality. What's even more exciting, is that the Avalon was joined on the list by several other used Toyota models as well. These include the Highlander, Prius, and Tacoma models.
